Inquest Of The Death Of
George Sowers (Colored)
We, the undersigned Members of the Coroner's Jury, duly sworn and empaneled to
inquire into the manner and by what means
George Sowers (Colored) came to his
death, having been duly sworn proceeded to make diligent inquiry and hearing
the testimony of all witnesses beg leave to report.
That
George Sowers (Colored), whose body here lies dead, find that the said
George Sowers came to his death by being hit and run over by one Tremont &
Gulf Railway engine, same being operated and driven by one Phil Butts. No
negligence or guilt attached to said homicide.
In Testimony Whereof, we sign this the 29th day of December, 1935.
