Item 1 i give and Begueth My belove wife Eliza J Nance The following Real
Estate Situated in the County of Jackson & State of Ohio
All of that part of the west half of th South East quarter of
Section No Sixteen 16 of Township No five 5 of Range No
Nineteen 19 All of said tract of land that lies South of the
Road Runing from jackson court house To Portsmouth Ohio
Item 2 i give and bequeath to my wife. My 2 Mules i Also give
to my wife one Cow and one heiler i also give to my wife four
heads of hoggs i also give to my wife one two horse Waggons
and Also all of my farming utentials No Appraisement to be of
**** my Property My wife to do as She Se fit to do with it. My
wife to pay all of my just debts My wife is to collect all of
my debts in testimony where of i have here unto set My hand

Probate of the last Will of Richard
Nance, deceased, presented on the 15th day of March
A.D. 1866.
Personally appeared in open Court Joseph W. McCoy and Vinton
McCoy the subscribing witnesses of the last Will and Testament
of Richard Nance speak the
truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, in relation
to the execution of said Will, depose and say that they were
present at the making of said Will, and at the request of the
deceased subscribe their names to said Will as witness, in the
presence of the deceased, and of each other; that they saw the
said Richard Nance deceased,
sign and seal said Will, and heard him acknowledge the same to
be his last Will and Testament; that the said Richard Nance was at the time making,
signing and sealing said Will, of legal age and of sound and
disposing mind and memory, and under no undue or unlawful
restraint whatsoever.

Banister had a will that was turned in on Nov. 23, 1872 (WB
2, p. 222) that reads:
In the name of the Benevolent father of all I Banister NANCE of Lawrence County Ohio do make
and publish this my last will and testament.
Item 1st. I give and edvise to Sarah Miller all my real
estate to wit described as follows viz the NW NE of section 34
township three of range sixteen all so the south east of the
Northwest of section 35 of range sixteen of township three.
2 item one cow and 8 hogs
3 item one set of Blacksmith tools
4 one horse wagon after she sells amont to pay all my
jest debts
5 item I do hereby nominate and appoint Elija NANCE Executor of this
my last will and testament hereby authorizing and empowering
them to compromise and adjust releas and discharge in such
manner as ther may deem proper the debts due me I do all so
authorez and in power tham to sell all or eny part of my real
estate if nesseary to pay my debts and to make and execute by
deed in fee simple I do desier no appraisment of my Estate to
be made I do hereby revoke all former wills in testimony herof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25 day of July in
the year 1872
