A
PLEASANT NANCE
LINE THEORY #3
UPDATE
(5/12/2013): Having had a yDNA test done, the lines for William
Malone Nance appear to be I2a where my Pleasant line Nance is an
R1b. So Pleasant couldn't be a part of this line.

Pleasant NANCE
section contributed by Robert
B. NANCE (My great uncle) " I believe but cannot prove,
that Pleasant was a brother of Harden NANCE, q. v. The two lived
very close to each other, and Pleasant named one of his sons
Harden. My guess to Pleasant's father would be John, as he named
one son John Allen NANCE, The John for his own father and the
Allen for his wife's father, Allen BARKER. Then Pleasant's son
Elkanah, named a child John Pleasant, which could be for his
grandfather and father.
I may have found a link to some other NANCE's with another surname
of mine....who could quiet possible be Pleasant's grand parents..
and if Robert Nance's theory about Pleasant's father being named
John.. This Nance (William
and Elizabeth THORNTON) has a son named John but haven't
anything on him yet.. I found it by accident I was putting stuff
in My "All NANCE" database from my website and vice versa and I
came across a Mary J. NANCE who married a Samuel GAULDING (I have
GAULDING's in my line) the Surity was Hiram McDANIEL (I have this
Hiram McDANIEL in my line if it is the same). Mary's parents are
William Malone Nance and Elizabeth Thornton.. and further digging
I found that Presly Thornton who is Elizabeth's father mentions a
Randolph McDANIEL in his will. I have a Randolph as being Hiram's
father in my line.
