Died 3:15 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 1992, at Earl K. Long Medical Center. She was 42, a native and resident of Baton Rouge.
She was a Christian Academy Day Care worker. Visiting at Armstrong-Mackey Funeral Home, 1576 Robin Street, 8 to 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Religious services at Bethany World Prayer Center at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Jake Benton.
Burial in Bethany World Prayer Center Memorial Park. Survived by former husband, Robert Nance; a daughter,
Cotrina Jarvis; three sons, Akiva, DeVornon and Aldrin; two sisters, Mary Jones and Deborah Jones; three brothers,
Warren Otis Jones, Henderson Jones Jr. (her twin), and Patrick Jones; parents, Henderson Oneal Jones and
Warren Odessa Jones; and godson, Mario John Jones. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Louella and the Rev.
Dave Jones; maternal grandparents, Lesther Camille and Lorenza Campbell.

Services in Leesville Full Gospel Church with burial in the church
cemetery. Nance, 40, of Leesville died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, in
Byrd Regional Hospital.
He was a native of Orange, Texas. He was a longtime resident of
Leesville and was employed with Gandy Tie and Lumber as a
forester/timber buyer. He was a member of the Louisiana Forestry
Association, the Leesville Full Gospel Church. He was preceded
in death by sister, Vicki Ennis.
Survivors: wife, Rene' Nance of Leesville; son, Marcus Tanner
Nance of Leesville; daughter, Ashley Renee Nance of Leesville;
parents, Cliff and Jean Nance of Leesville; brother, Dan Nance
of Leesville; sister, Marilyn Oden of Leesville.

Death Claims Mrs.
John Nance Of Calvin May 15
Mrs.
John Nance, 61 years, five months, and 11 days, died at her home near
Calvin Saturday, May 15, 1948 after a long illness. Funeral services were
conducted at the Sanders Chapel Methodist Church near Calvin Sunday afternoon
with the Rev. Fred Flurry and Rev. F. M. York officiating. Burial was in the
Sanders Cemetery.
Acting as pallbearers were Henry Wilson, Robins Carter, Webb Hodges, Murl
Rhymes, G. H. Walker, and Whewell Maxey.
Before her marriage to Mr. Nance she was Miss Etta Grissom, a native of Winn
Parish.
Surviving are her husband of Calvin; one sister, Mrs. W. W. Trainer of
Beaumont; two brothers, Ed Grissom, DeRidder; Jack Grissom, Ben, Oregon; one
stepdaugther, Mrs. E. K. Carter, Calvin; one stepson, Ezra Vance, Wasco,
Calif.

John L. Nance, 87, Succumbs; Rites Tuesday
John L. Nance, 87, of Calvin, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday in a Winnfield
hospital.
He was a member of the Sanders Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, John E. Nance of Delano, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs.
E. K. Carter of Calvin and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Sanders Methodist
Church with Rev. Shaw and Rev. Leonard Free officiating. Interment was in the
church cemetery.
